Barbara Torney: IV, Sports Tutor & Assessor

Cert. Ed., IIST, ESM, FHFST, Cert. E.C.B.S. 

Barbara trained in Body Massage and Equine Sports Massage in 1996 to follow her dream of becoming an Equine Massage Therapist. After working successfully with many horses and treating their riders in her clinic Barbara completed an Advanced Sports Massage course which included Activity Injuries, Remedial Massage and Post Medical Rehabilitation. Enjoying her time at college she took a teaching post at Warrington Colleigate's Sports Department and gained her Cert. Ed teaching qualification, VTCT Assessor and Internal Verifier awards.

Barbara is adaptable in her approach to teaching, allowing her students to develop their individual style. Barbara is also a Bowen Therapist, Reiki Master & Teacher and has trained in the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai methods. She divides her time between teaching, her pain & injury clinic and equine practice. She is a fellow of FHT and The International Council of Health, Fitness and Sports Therapists.

Dawn O’Toole: VTCT, Sports & Rehabilitation Tutor & Assessor

Dawn has over 10 years experience in holistic and sports therapy, injuries and rehabilitation. She divides her time between teaching and working hands-on in a busy physiotherapist and sports injury clinic, treating clients from office workers to professional sports people. Dawn specialises in sports therapy, injury and rehabilitation, regularly attending courses to keep ahead of up and coming techniques. She is also a qualified VTCT assessor.

Dawn is highly qualified and experienced, having previously owned her own holistic college. She is a very friendly, approachable tutor who has the gifted ability to adapt courses to individual learning styles if required. This she feels is essential in order that completion of their courses, candidates will have the knowledge, confidence and experience to use the new skills in a experienced, professional manner.

Dee Kelsall: Reiki Master/Teacher, VTCT Tutor & Assessor

USUI/TIBETAN KARUNA REIKI(R) MASTER/TEACHER

Dee started training in therapies in 1991, her first therapy being Sports Therapy, she is also qualified in Body Massage, Aromatherapy, Advanced Reflexology, Sports Massage and Indian Head Massage. In 1997 she graduated from Chester College with a BA (Hons) in Health and Community Studies. Dee is also a Reiki Master/Teacher and spent a year training in 'energy healing' at the college of healing in Malvern.  For the past 12 years Dee has been running her own therapy clinic as well as working as a qualified VTCT tutor and assessor.

Dee is an exceptionally experienced and talented tutor and has a reputation for her breadth of knowledge in many therapies and anatomy and physiology. She is also for well known for her great sense of humour and wit. Dee is both a tutor and an assessor with CMA and is our resident Reiki Master.

Judith Peplow: VTCT Tutor & Assessor

Judith specialises in Vortex Healing and has qualified in more therapies than most, she loves discovering and learning about new treatments and her enthusiasm for complimentary therapies shines through in her teaching and her own clinical practice. Judith is a tremendously thorough tutor having a wealth of experience and knowledge, and as well as being one of our longest standing tutors she is also one of our most experienced assessors.

Marguerite Halpin: VTCT Tutor & Assessor

PGCE, BSc (Hons), VTCT, IIHHT

Marguerite is highly academic having a BSC (Hons) in Health Sciences and a PGCE in FE/HE, however, in contrast she brings a huge sense of fun to all her teaching; she is creative with her methods being adaptable to all learning styles. Marguerite is apopular tutor at the Academy always having a big smile for everyone and her classes are never dull. She is qualified in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Body Massage and Indian Head Massage and she is currently studying Sports & Injury Massage at the Academy.

Nicola Richards: VTCT Tutor & Assessor

Cert. Ed., VTCT, IIHHT, FHT

Nicola is a truly gifted therapist and tutor, she has many years of tutoring experience across most therapies, being qualified in Reflexology at an advanced level, Indian Head Massage, Body and Advanced Massage, First Aid, Reiki and Aromatherapy; she also runs her own clinical practice.

Nicola is now also running our 'Baby/Infant Massage' Instructors' course.  She has a reputation for being thorough whilst maintaining an informal approach to teaching but she is very friendly and approachable, always making herself available to students outside class times; she is a very popular CMA tutor and VTCT assessor.
