How will I be assessed?
As part of the qualification candidates are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that have been learnt. Your assessor will provide guidance on how to prepare the portfolio of evidence and how to how practical achievement, and understanding of the knowledge required to successfully complete this qualification. It is this booklet along with the portfolio of evidence that will serve as the prime source of evidence for this qualification.
Each candidate will undertake a number of therapy case studies over a period of time both in college and at home once they are deemed by the tutor to be competent to do so. Written assignments are completed by the candidate in their own time at home (provided at Word document) and added to their portfolio on request from the tutor. Internal assessment involves 2 x multiple choice question papers and practical observations. The final examination is a practical assessment and on this day only, the candidate will be required to bring their own client to college demonstrate techniques.
