What does Ayurveda mean?

Ayurveda is the worlds oldest holistic healthcare system (Healing system). It is a comprehensive system of healthcare originating in India over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda is an ancient philosophy based on deep understanding of the human body, mind and spirit. Its theories and remedies for a healthy mind and body have endured for over 5000 years, during which time a wealth of knowledge and practical experience has been accumulated, confirming the safety and efficacy of an Ayurvedic way of life. Ayurveda is derived from two Sanskrit words: ‘Ayur’ meaning life and ‘Veda’ meaning
knowledge/science.

The aim in Ayurveda is prevention, to promote positive health, long life and well being to the body using specific oils according to the “Dosha Profile” which brings total relaxation and rejuvenation.
