Who is this 1st Aid course suitable for?

This course is suitable for therapists, beauticians, spa technicians and anyone associated with this industry who wish to qualify in 1st Aid.  It provides a VTCT Level 2 award and is HSE approved. It covers emergency and additional first aid in the workplace. This course is valid for 3 years.

Duration: 1 day (10:30am - 5pm) + home assignment

Course content

• Personal safety
• Assessing the incident
• Priorities: DRAB check and sending for help
• Unconscious casualty
• Resuscitation: adults
• Choking
• Dealing with blood loss and shock, burns and scalds, fractures, heart attack, diabetes, strokes and seizures
• Reporting and recording of incidents as required by HSE and contents of HSE approved first aid kit.

What does the 1st Aid course include?

None, but if you are not registered with VTCT there is an additional fee of £20 fee for the lifetime registration.

How will I be assessed?

Each candidate is required to complete assignments at home.
