What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy has a history dating back thousands of years and the therapy uses aromatic essential oils to enhance well-being and to stimulate and harmonise a healthy physical, mental and emotional state. Through the study and application of aromatic extracts of plants using special massage techniques, healing, relaxation and a general improvement in well-being can be achieved in one treatment. Aromatherapists blend therapeutic essential oils specifically for each individual and suggest methods of usage to stimulate the desired responses. Today, ever more people are turning to traditional therapies such as Aromatherapy to enhance the quality of their lives.
