4th - 5th October & 30th Nov
On-Site Massage therapy is adapted from a Japanese style of bodywork known as AMMA.
This course is intended to provide post-graduate training for massage therapists to expand their practices into areas where Massage Therapy performed on a couch might not be as appropriate.
Workplace/event massage is providing fast growing opportunities for therapists to expand their practices through gaining workplace contracts which can add a regular and lucrative addition to the usual client base.
It is designed to reduce stress in the workplace. The routine, which is performed through the clothes, is energising, allowing the client to relax and feel nurtured and secure, then working key muscle groups and acupressure points to relax the body and work out any areas of tension. The sequence can be practiced through a 15, 20, 30 minute sessions, depending on the client and the type of situation. The whole routing is performed on a fully supportive massage chair and no oils or creams are used allowing you to stay fully clothed.
In the UK, On-Site Massage is becoming increasingly popular and practitioners are now providing the service in a wide range of locations, such as the workplace, shopping centres, airports, sports areas and events, conferences, festivals etc.
As a knowledge and understanding of anatomy, physiology and physical therapy is required, this course is only available to graduates of a Swedish Massage or similar course.
This workshop is ideally taken with Stress Management, Marketing for Therapists and Hot Stone Massage. If booked together with any of these workshops, a 10% discount will be offered.
