(duration - 4 days and final examination; 10:30am - 5pm)

What is Advanced Body Massage?

This course is designed to meet the needs of individuals already practicing Swedish body massage whom wish to take their studies to another level. It covers both the theoretical and the practical aspects of advanced massage techniques.

Who is this course suitable for?

This course is an advanced massage course and follows on from the Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage. Therefore this course is suitable for those wishing to gain advanced techniques in body massage therapy.

• Deep Tissue Massage
• Lymphatic Drainage
• Neuromuscular Techniques
• Acupressure Points
• Stretch & Release Techniques
• Mobility Exercises

• 3 day programme including tutoring & practical
• 1 day assessment, workbook tutoring and personal tutorial
• 1 hour practical examination
• Personalised course folder containing all course content & additional notes
• Liquid refreshments throughout the course
• Informal teaching style allowing course members to ask questions and make input
• Numbers are limited so teaching is kept on a personal level

How will I be assessed?

Continuous assessment by means of written homework, assignments and home practice in the form of case studies. Internal assessment involves tests and practical observations. The course culminates in a final examination involving a practical observation of the therapy on a client of your choice.

What are the entry qualifications?

• VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage, or
• An equivalent qualification, or
• Equivalent anatomy & physiology qualification
