** INCLUSIVE COURSE within this qualification is: VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Health, Safety, Security & Employment Standards This is a mandatory part of all VTCT Holistic Therapy course, so if you have already completed this qualification or another VTCT course which contained Units M2 & M74 within the last 3 years, you will not be required to repeat. However, you will be required to provide evidence.

What is Indian Head Massage?

Indian Head Massage (IHM) is ultimately a relaxing form of massage as it helps relieve muscle tension in the neck, shoulders and scalp. It offers an aid to headaches, sinusitis, eyestrain, helps to promote hair growth, improves blood and lymph flow to the upper body, promotes relaxation, better sleep, sharper thinking and will harmonise the bodies Chakras. IHM is performed fully clothed and is carried out on the upper back, shoulders, back of the neck, arms, scalp and face.

Who is this course suitable for?

This course is suitable for anyone interested in widening their interest in alternative treatments and holistic therapies. The course will cover a full working sequence of Indian Head Massage alternatively referred to as Champissage and the related theory including anatomy of the head, neck and shoulders.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

How will I be assessed?

Each candidate is required to undertake a number of case studies over a period of time both in college and at home and to complete assignments and project work. Internal assessment involves tests, assignments and practical observations to cover a range of clients and assignments to check knowledge. The course will involve assessment in both practical and theoretical areas. Written work is done via workbook and a practical sampling assessment will be done as a final examination.
